Learn about the humble pencil and all that can be done with graphite. Not all pencils are created equal.
Come see what a 9B lead can do that a 9H cannot, and vice versa!
We will go over a brief history of the pencil as well as the variety of pencils available to artists. Included will be an overview of eraser types and other drawing tools such as blending stumps.
To finish, we will sketch an object using these tools to refine our work.
All supplies will be provided for use, but feel free to bring any supplies you’d enjoy using.
You will leave with a pencil, a reference sheet and a fun sketch you will have created.
This workshop requires no previous art experience. The objective is to have fun and explore ways of using pencils in art. During this two-hour workshop you will create your own piece of artwork. Who doesn’t need a little relaxing fun time in our busy lives? Come join Francie and let your inner child out to play.
